Based in the Heart of Edinburgh's City Centre, Ondine is a luxury Seafood Restaurant just off the Royal Mile.

Accessible and sustainable - that is what Ondine is all about.

We aim to provide a dining experience which provides customers with a menu offering choices and prices to suit most palates and pockets.

But we also are passionate about the sourcing and sustainability of our ingredients and produce.

Shortly after we opened our Edinburgh Restaurant in September 2009, in recognition of our commitment to offering customers sustainable seafood, Ondine gained certification from the MSC - the Marine Stewardship Council.

fish2fork is the world's first website to review restaurants according to whether their seafood is sustainable, and not just how it tastes. Ondine is now listed by fish2fork in the top dozen restaurants in the country. We also supporter Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's Fish Fight campaign.

Thanks to our brilliant customers we've been recognised as the UK's Fundraising Restaurant of the Year by the Fishermen's Mission. Put simply, Ondine's customers donated more to help hard working fishermen and their families than anywhere else in Britain.

Being awarded Scottish Restaurant of the Year by the Good Food Guide was a great reward for all my hard working staff and the perfect way to round off an amazing 12 months.

Now we look ahead. Soon I'm heading to the Gulf to represent Scotland at the prestigious Gourmet Abu Dhabi Festival but nothing is more important than my staff and customers here at home. With my fabulous Head Chef Ishu Mehrotra by my side and leading the team, we are looking forward to a fabulous 2012.
